History
OROTELS, founded in 1977 in Switzerland, specialized in planning, development, operation and consulting of hotel operations and other related activities in Europe, Latin America and the USA.
Acquired expertise during many years being part of the leading hotel group in Switzerland, it became the international division of this prestigous group, prospecting for new business opportunities in South America, which started with the successful development and operation of its first HOTEL ORO VERDE® in Guayaquil-Ecuador in 1981 and gradually new Oro Verde Hotels were developed in Ecuador, followed by market entries in Mexico, Brazil, Peru and USA. All developed properties successfully compete today in their market places, either being independent or belonging to franchised companies like IHG, Marriott, Swissotel, Choice Hotels.
